What is it good for?- James Jones

Absolutely nothin! Say it again!
Well now that I've gotten that out of my system I can say that in my opinion war is never preferable and should never be considered a good option by any means. At heart I think wars are a moral wrong-doing not only by the first side to declare war but any side that fights. I do understand the reasoning behind war in some occasions however I don't agree with the reasoning or believe that as people we should actively participate in so much destruction. In what occasion is the value of a human life to be disregarded so that one entity can be eliminated? Is it really okay to kill many when the true targets are a select few? The lengths that nations go to when fighting wars are the biggest problem, no nation should be willing to harm as many people as are harmed in the event of bombings etc. However, we will continue to fight wars as no one is willing to compromise. Opinions are so polarized (yes I realize being completely against something such as war is a polarized opinion of sorts but oh well) that no in-between is good enough for either side. In my opinion compromise and discussion would be the best alternative. However, as issues arise we will continue to have war and at this exact moment I can do nothing about it, so, I end my rant here.
