Flying Turkeys - Jeb Brumley
My Thanksgiving is all about spending time with family and being thankful for what we have. Each year, my family and I go to my grandparents house to have a big meal and be around the family. My aunts, uncles, and cousins all come. When the food has been prepared, we say a prayer and remember to be thankful for what we have. Next, we fill our plates with a lot of food and enjoy all of the delicious dishes. After we eat, I hang out with my cousins or watch football games. Then we get out the desert which usually includes a variety of pies and cookies. Finally, after spending several hours at my grandparents house, we leave and head to celebrate with my dad's side of the family. We spend a lot of time catching up with family and friends we have not seen in a year. Then we will usually watch more football or play basketball outside if the weather is nice enough. I really enjoy Thanksgiving because i get to eat a lot of food and spend time with my family although I do not have any strange or wonderful memories of the holiday because all of my family lives in Lexington and we celebrate the exact same way every year.
