I absolutely abhor the hallways of Henry Clay High School. From adolescent couples who grope each other on the staircases to the throngs of freshmen who find it necessary to scream in the halls at all times, my daily transitions between classes seem unbearable to an extent. Not to mention, there are always hundreds of kids who walk at the pace of a snail, and even others who chose to stand in the middle of the hallway without budging, obnoxiously conversing with friends, without even bothering to move an inch when kindly being asked to do so.
But I have a proposal that will put an end to this mayhem. Those of us who have read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl and/or seen the movies based on the novel, must know of the Great Glass Elevator. The elevator, made of glass, is not just any up-and-down elevator. It can move up and down, side to side, diagonal, and any other way you could think of! All of us productive students who want to get to class on time without dealing with the chaos of the HC hallways should be at access to a Great Glass Elevator of our own.
