War is needed to stop the threat of evil. Evil doesn't compromise, and evil doesn't think about what it's doing. The only way to stop villains is to destroy them. My only question is that how can we determine if something is evil? It seems like we trust that important members of government can make this decision. The president would be that important person in our government. The issue is that these people might not be basing their decisions off of moral beliefs. The president gets to be president because he won a speaking contest against the other candidate. He had to beat other people to get to his position. He might have pride that gets in the way of thinking about war through a lens of morality.
I don't know much about politics. I also don't know a whole lot about wars that have happened in the past. There are many factors about war that I'm not taking into account. I don't have strong opinions on war, so I made observations. I have no strong opinions because I'm uninformed. I'm not driven to inform myself because I don't have strong opinions.
