The Future- Eliza Jane Schaeffer

The most valuable thing I learned from Junior Year was time management. In middle school, I would spend hours memorizing vocab words. This year, I learned to spend as much time on an assignment as the point value warrents. My English teacher in 8th grade constantly reminded me that I need to learn when it's appropriate to spend hours on an assignment and when it's really just not worth the effort. But I never understood that until this year, when all of a sudden I had so many assignments hat I couldn't afford to spend hours on any one of them because I wouldn't be able to complete the rest. Now, I spend 5 minutes studying for vocab quizzes; not because I'm lazy, but because my time would be better spent elsewhere.

Moving forward, my goal for myself is to do that which makes me uncomfortable until it no longer makes me uncomfortable. I think that's how you grow.
