Fictional Character, Fictional Life- Olivia McCrary

If I could be any fictional character, I would be Angharad "Harry" Crewe from The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley. Though she has her flaws, she has been a favorite character of mine since I read the book about five years ago. I have always had some sort of respect or admiration for her. She is taken away from everything she knows, yet she doesn't let this stop her from succeeding. She started out as an average girl who was rather bored of her life and by chance ended up becoming a hero. I love the way she adapted to her new surroundings. She easily could have chosen to isolate herself and refuse to change but instead she treated her new lifestyle as a learning experience. She came to accept the Damarians as if they were her own family. I would really love to have her emotional strength and determination.
