Fictional Character, Fictional Life - Meagan Hale
If I could be a fictional character I would be Elizabeth Swan from Pirates of the Caribbean. Elizabeth is a heroin many over look, which is easy to do when Johnny Depp plays Captain Jack Sparrow. She is both lady like royalty and a pirate at heart. She travels the world and sees corners of the Earth that many in the rigid society she comes from would never dare to even look at on a map. At her core she is cunning and courageous. Many over look her because she is a woman but when push comes to shove she can out pirate the best of pirates. She is fearful but doesn't let it stop her, not even when faced with the Kraken. Her undying loyalty to Will Turner is also a stellar characteristic to admire. She would do anything for the people she loves. She is smart. She knows that everyone underestimates her and she uses it to her advantage. This allows her to get information as well as get close to her enemies without them every realizing she's there to kill them. In the beginning of the first movie, Elizabeth Swan is the the helpless damsel in distress caught in the dangerous world of pirates, but by the last movie Elizabeth is the captain of her own ship with an unwavering crew and has gained the respect of those who doubted her for so long. She hated pirates but there's no doubt that she was meant to be one all along.
