Fictional Character, Fictional Life - Emily Salamanca
If I had to be any fictional character, I'd be Seychelles from Hetalia. I would be her for nostalgic reasons as well as because she is such an under-developed character that I feel that I can interpret her in many ways. For one, she speaks both French and English (as well as a mix known as Kreol) and this ability has always been a dream of mine. Similarly, on a naïve level, she is also just a personable and beautiful human who also represent a gorgeous country. For nostalgic reasons, I would be her because I have a favorite character that I chose in 7th grade and I'm not going to abandon a character I have always loved. Seychelles also represents my love of the show in general, as well as my love of history. It seems like a lot to be linked, but in my mind, everything I aim to be in sort of wrapped in this vague, underdeveloped background character. Plus, I don't want to be the main character, I want to be the background girl who hangs out in a beach and occasionally comes in to say a few funny criticisms.
