Fictional Character, Fictional Life - Maya Creamer

If I could be any fictional character, I would be Jo March from Little Women. Her life isn't easy; her family is poor, she often has to help her mother take care of the house while her father is away at various teaching jobs, and her sister Beth passes away while she is still a young woman. But despite all of these hardships and the simple life they lead, Jo and her family are happy, and love each other dearly. They appreciate everything they have, and savor every moment together. In the novel, Jo discovers who she is; she learns that being boyish and having a hard time figuring out what she wants is fine, and she embraces this and doesn't let it hold her back. She eventually falls in love, and everything turns out alright. I also think it would be cool to live in the mid-1800's, when the United States was filled with pioneering spirit, and life was much simpler. I think that today, with so many things to do and see, we lose our appreciation of just how meaningful our relationships with those we love really are, and we forget to be thankful for the life we are given. The March family hasn't forgotten to see the beauty of life, and to be content with the way things are.
