Hello I am Kevin LaZur, 16 year old academy student of Henry Clay High School. I have little that I can share with you that will impress, and I'm not going to stretch the truth to make up for it. Inside of school there are a few things I like to do, such as being in Herr Bright's classroom, doing last night's homework, and reading my psychology assignments out loud at the lunch table. Outside of school I can be found doing one of only a handful of things. Most of the time I'm playing video games, listening to music, or doing anything else in my power to keep myself from reaching any potential. I also enjoy pretending I'm more mature than I actually am. Some other times I could be found helping with work on my mother's farm, practicing an instrument, or playing an instrument. I play a couple instruments, drums and guitar. I have committed myself to the drums in order to create music with a group of 4 good friends, one of whom is our classroom's own Max Kaufman. The other 3 are Jacob O'Donnell, Ibrahim Pandzic, and Simon Long; none of them are in the academy. During the rare times I'm not doing any of these things I'm probably doing homework, hanging out with non-musical friends, participating in the Jewish community, or doing something physical like practicing/playing hockey or playing tennis.
Moving on, I am quite Geeked by the band Tenacious D. It's difficult to explain my fondness of the greatest band on earth to the common listener. This band first discovered me in the 6th grade when I saw their movie: Pick of Destiny. After my friends and I had beheld this modern marvel, we knew we must dedicate ourselves to them and become D-sciples of their glory. 2 years later they release the Rize of the Fenix album, and we rejoice knowing that the D has risen again from the ashes to complete their quantum leap in music. May they forever lead as two kings
