Though it is easier to interact with people outside of classes now, I think I would prefer to have to interact in person. I generally prefer talking to someone in person because it seems like it means more, like its a real interaction. I do enjoy the fact that I can speak to people by typing a simple message on my phone, but where's the fun in that. If I grew up 20 years earlier I would have no choice but to go and actually experience things instead of living through a device. Just a few decades ago people were living their lives without any of the same types of simulated experiences as we do now. Overall I think that life would be much more adventurous if I grew up in an earlier time.

I've always been intrigued by the idea of living in an earlier time. I love the technology that we have now and I appreciate being able to live in this era, however, it's hard not to wonder. I feel that if we didn't have the same entertainment and constant stimulation that we receive now that it wouldn't be all that bad. The one thing that would be a setback is the speed at which you could interact with others. Now if I want to talk to a friend all I have to do is text them, but in the past texting did not exist. People had to have face-to-face interaction and build real relationships over time. Sure you could talk to someone on the phone but at least then you heard the sound of their voice. Now the only people I actually call are relatives, I text all of my friends because it's simply easier.
