Joshua Strange Assignment 4

By studying the liberal arts, I can become more exposed to different emotions and expressions of those emotions. I become more empathetic towards other, and my ability to learn by listening and reading becomes stronger.  I am better able to understand people's emotions by the way they describe it because I read from authors who described emotions in the most extreme and pure form. I can become a better listener- which also helps me learn in a classroom setting and helps me better adapt for many other situations in the future. If I am learning to listen and respond to the literature instead of just reacting, I am able to become a much better analyst and conversationalist (which helps round-out my education and my character).  It is much easier to understand something if you study it, so by studying literature I will become much better at understanding language and how people use it.
